Research Institute for Microbial Diseases, Osaka University

Objectives:Collection, preservation, and distribution of bacterial enteropathogens.

We continue to collect bacterial strains, with a special focus on pathogenic E. coli and Vibrio parahaemolyticus. We preserve and provide these strains while reconfirming their biochemical properties. In addition, we attempt to improve their quality by adding information that will be useful for research. Moreover, we collect and preserve strains isolated from overseas tourists and assemble these strains into a database.
